The Field Lighting Technician is responsible for operating the company bucket van with the training knowledge and/or certification to operate the lift. This person must be certified to install lights and/or replace lamps in pylon signs in the air which requires electrical background.


  • Visually inspects and tests equipment to determine operational capability prior to each use.
  • Shows proper identification to announce presence to the store manager and/or shift supervisor.
  • Uses caution in and around company property and customers including their vehicles.
  • Uses cones and/or safety barriers to protect your work zone.
  • Must be capable of using the property safety equipment and stand in the bucket while raised in the air operating the lift.
  • Performs all work to industry standards complying with all applicable codes, regulations and governmental agencies.
  • Picks up and Cleans up area after each assignment including keeping a clean company van.
  • Maintains confidentiality of company, client and vendor information.
  • Reacts productively to change.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Facilities management team.

High school diploma or GED is required; Lighting certification with electrical background is required; General maintenance experience is preferred.


Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds; ability to speak, hear, see, stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach and handle; ability to speak, read and write in English; good problem solving, analytical, interpersonal, planning and organizational skills; must possess valid driverís license with good driving record; knowledge of minor general maintenance; knowledge of convenience store operations; good work ethic; understanding of facility spacing (i.e., cones, parking lot segments, positive customer interactions; etc.); ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals; good judgment; ability to use PC and office equipment; ability to work effectively with others and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to concentrate, think and learn.


Position is in a field setting that involves day and night driving with risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions. Position is subject to travel to Company stores and facilities. Position is responsible to respond immediately to emergency situations which may include after normal operating hours and/or weekends. Good driving record is essential.
