The Shift Supervisor assists the White Bison Coffee Manager in leading and coaching shop staff to consistently deliver all the components of the White Bison Coffee offer and culture to maximize the guest experience. The position has total accountability for the operation of the store in the Coffee Manager's absence.  

Your Day-to-day

  • Assist in creating the environment to support the coffee shop culture
  • Efficiently ring customer orders, following our cash handling guidelines, taking full responsibility for drawer accuracy.
  • Welcome and connect with each and every guest, building relationships and repeat business. Learn names, drink orders, etc.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products coffee, tea, juices, smoothies, etc., food offerings - and share accordingly with guests.
  • Make/brew coffee and espresso drinks according to company standards/recipes.
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Maintain and stock all products in the bar/barista area, condiment stand.
  • Train and build staff capability.
  • Work opposite hours of the Coffee Manager. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Team

  • At least 1-year management experience, preferably in the coffee industry.
  • Good interpersonal, guest service and oral communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and takes personal pride in all that you do
  • Have sufficient visual ability to check identification and process credit cards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds carrying cases of milk, etc.
  • Ability to work shifts, holidays and weekends
  • Dependable/flexible
